Her newest novel, Goldberg Variations, will be published by Scribner in October 2012. She is a former editor of Seventeen and a freelance political speechwriter. She is chairman of the board of Poets & Writers and a past president of Mystery Writers of America. All her novels have been New York Times bestsellers.
