Authors Night is the largest and most prominent annual fundraising event held in East Hampton, NY. It is attended by a great mix of major literary prize winners, best selling authors, local residents, philanthropists, celebrities, tourists and book lovers from around the world. The evening begins with the Authors' Book Signing Reception under a huge but festive tent. We expect approximately 2,000 guests who will enjoy fabulous cocktail fare and wine, meet their favorite authors, buy their books and have them inscribed. We will have 100 authors in attendance. Following the reception some of the authors will be hosted at private dinners which guests will donate to attend. We have set up a special website showcasing all the authors involved and their books. The website http://www.authorsnight.org will also give you more information about “Authors Night 2023” including photos of the event from prior years.
Reception tickets will be $150 each. 100% of the ticket and the book sales are a donation to the East Hampton Library, Unlike many libraries that are 100% tax supported, the East Hampton Library raises 30% of its operating budget each year in order to provide the funding for all of the free programs which are available to every member of the community. Authors Night helps make this possible.
